Cory S Powers has recently joined the Folds of Honor Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships for military and first responder families. Folds of Honor was founded in 2007 and has since been committed to ensuring that the families of disabled and fallen service members and first responders have access to educational scholarships. In addition to Folds of Honor, Powers regularly volunteers for Easterseals Community and Disability Services as part of their Parent’s Night Out Respite Program. The organization advocates for education and outreach services for people with disabilities and promotes learning, living, and enjoying life in the community.
Powers is also a regular donor to Heifer International, a global nonprofit development organization dedicated to worldwide eradicating poverty and hunger through sustainable and values-based holistic community development. The organization provides livestock and training to struggling communities. Furthermore, Powers regularly donates to the Epilepsy Foundation of America, which is dedicated to leading the fight against the challenges of living with epilepsy and accelerating therapies and treatments designed to stop seizures and save lives. The organization is committed to finding a cure for this condition. Cory has been happily married for 18 years and has four daughters and one son, aged six to 16. The family recently relocated to Sarasota, Florida, to be closer to their relatives, including Powers’ two brothers and his in-laws, who settled in the city just south of Tampa on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
