Cory Powers is a Florida-based Project Manager at Jackson and Associates. Born and raised in Cobb County, Georgia, he resides in Sarasota on the Sunshine State’s Gulf Coast. Powers, his wife, and their five children moved to the city to be closer to family.

When he isn’t working, the gifted athlete, football fan, and Georgia Bulldogs supporter enjoys playing and watching sports. He also revels in exercising, furniture repair, partaking in activities with his family, and spending time in the great outdoors.

Powers currently serves as the Project Manager of operations for Jackson and Associates’s South Florida region. In his role at Jackson and Associates, the company’s Project Manager of operations for South Florida is responsible for assorted duties. These duties include developing and implementing operational strategies and overseeing day-to-day business activities. That ranges from the management of personnel to handling scheduling and customer relations.

Academic History

Cory S Powers grew up in Marietta, Georgia, and attended his local high school before leaving the Atlanta metropolitan area for college. He subsequently studied at Ferris State University. Ferris State’s main campus is in Big Rapids, Michigan.

Ferris State University opened its doors in 1884 as the Big Rapids Industrial School, founded by Helen and Woodbridge Ferris. It became a state institution in 1950 and achieved state university recognition in 1987. Today, Ferris offers a range of educational opportunities focused on ensuring exceptional futures for its students.

After departing Ferris, Peach State native Powers went on to further hone his skills by studying various topics and enrolling in valuable educational courses in his spare time. He is also a self-taught craftsman, passionate about building and repairing items and sharing his skills with others.

Folds of Honor Foundation

Powers recently became involved with the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides scholarships for military and first responder families. Established in 2007, Folds of Honor is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps give the families of disabled and fallen service members and first responders access to all-important educational scholarships.

Easterseals Community and Disability Services

Easterseals Community and Disability Services is another 501(c)(3) nonprofit that Powers is proud to volunteer his time. He regularly volunteers as a part of the organization’s Parent’s Night Out Respite Program. Easterseals advocates for education and outreach services for those with disabilities focused on promoting learning, living, and enjoying life in the community.

Heifer International

Cory Powers is a regular donor to Heifer International. Heifer International is a global nonprofit development organization working to eradicate poverty and hunger. It does so through sustainable, values-based holistic community development worldwide. That’s in addition to providing livestock and training to struggling communities.

Epilepsy Foundation of America

Florida-based Cory also regularly donates to the Epilepsy Foundation of America. The Epilepsy Foundation of America is dedicated to leading the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy. It is also committed to accelerating therapies and other treatments designed to stop seizures and save lives, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for the condition.

Personal Interests

Cory S Powers has been happily married for 18 years. He and his wife have four daughters and one son, aged from six to 16 years old. The family moved to Sarasota, Florida, in June 2022 to be closer to relatives. That includes Powers’ two brothers and his in-laws, who have happily settled residents of the city, located just south of Tampa on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

In addition to his professional work and tireless charitable efforts, Powers enjoys several hobbies and interests. Among these interests are sports, travel, and exercise. He is a talented and capable athlete, and he and his family actively participate in various sporting activities. These sporting activities include basketball, football, club volleyball, and soccer.

Cory Powers is a lifelong supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs football team. He regularly watches his team play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Football Bowl Subdivision and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference. As a keen craftsman, he also likes to build and repair different items, including pieces of furniture and other objects.

He enjoys walking and spending time outdoors, particularly on Sarasota’s fine sandy beaches. In addition to their delicate, white sand, the city’s beaches are famed for their clear, shallow waters, including Lido Beach and Siesta Key Beach.
